Mozambique wants donated corn milled

(Aug. 9, 2002 -- CropChoice news) -- The prime minister of Mozambique said on Wednesday that any genetically modified corn sent to the country as food aid must first be milled to prevent farmers from planting it. That, he said, could lead to the country's conventional corn varieties taking on genetically modified traits, which the Mozambican leadership considers undesireable.
