Farmers favor modified crops, USDA says

(April 26, 2002 – CropChoice news) – Apparently buying into the biotechnology industry promises of lower production costs, increased yields and less pesticide use, U.S. farmers have devoted more acreage to genetically modified crops, according to an April 11 report ( http://www.ers.usda.gov/Briefing/biotechnology/chapter1.htm from the Economic Research Service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
