Russia to enact new food labeling regs on Sept. 1

(Aug. 22, 2002 -- CropChoice news) -- The new food safety regulations that Russia will enact on September 1 include mandatory labeling of some types of genetically modified products.

Food products subject to mandatory labeling include soybean products, corn, potato, melons, papaya, chicory, and additives that contain genetically modified organisms.
