Horizon Organic to purchase wind energy (Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004 -- CropChoice news) -- Horizon Organic recently announced plans to replace, beginning January 1, 2005, the electrical power used in its operations with wind energy. According to Horizon Organic, the switch to renewable power is part of the company's attempt to purchase enough Green Tags to compensate for the energy used in the entire product supply chain.
