Brazil can't use U.S. transgenic corn

(Monday, Jan. 20, 2003 -- CropChoice news) -- Brazil says it will destroy, re-export or use a 7,400 ton shipment of U.S. corn containing genetically modified organisms to make paper. The presence of the transgenic organisms precludes the use of the corn for either food or feed use in the country, which disallows genetically engineered crops.
