Bosnia hesitates on U.S. transgenic corn donation (February 1, 2001 -- Cropchoice news) -- Fearing health risks to humans, Bosnian officials hesitated to approve a $4 million donation of U.S. genetically modified corn for animal feed.
The United States withdrew the 40,000 metric ton donation after Bosnian officials failed to take delivery of it, according to the U.S. embassy in Sarajevo.
