EU report finds that some GMO crops could threaten organic, wild varieties (March 18, 2002 – CropChoice news) – A report out of the European Union finds that some transgenic crops, particularly oilseed rape and corn, are likely to cross-pollinate with their organic counterparts and with wild relatives. This would present agronomic and environmental problems, and would harm the efforts of organic growers to make a living by ruining their crops.
