Albania: Green Party decries import of biotech corn, soybeans (Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 -- CropChoice news) -- Albania will import about 16 metric tons of genetically engineered corn and soybeans from the United States in November, according to a news release from the Albanian Green Party. The Greens say that biotech seeds and crops cause agronomic and environmental harm, and so their importation should be stopped.
