New study asserts jump of herbicide resistant genes to weeds

(Aug. 9, 2002 -- CropChoice news) -- Ohio State University scientists say they have confirmed that plants featuring genes that confer resistance to such herbicides as Roundup (glyphosate) can cross-pollinate with weeds, making them resistant to the herbicide.
