Advisory committee to Canadian government urges voluntary GM labels

(Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002 -- CropChoice news) -- The Canadian Biotechnology Advisory Committee has urged the country's government to avoid mandatory labeling of genetically modified foods and instead encourage voluntary labels. The Committee members regard labels as expensive and impractical.
