Dare we go where the WTO wants us to go?

(Thursday, April 3, 2003 -- CropChoice news) -- By removing all barriers to free trade we will all live in the same world. A noble objective indeed, unless one already lives in the best of all possible worlds!

This Saturday at 9AM Pacific, the Food Chain with Michael Olson hosts David Frederickson, President of the National Farmers Union, and Eugenio Diaz-Bonilla, Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute, for a conversation about the market leveling implications of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Topics will include how free trade affects the ability of developed nations to stay in business; the impact it has on developing nations; and whether free trade can ever be fair trade.

Listeners are invited to call the live program on KFRM, KGOE, KMPH, KOMY, or KSCO with questions and comments at 800-624-2665.
